November

Silverton Christian School
Parent Volunteer Club
AGENDA- November 13, 2015

OLD BUSINESS

1). Current Parent Club Balance- $143.00
Pumpkin patch cost Parent Club $240.00

2). Still in need of a hot lunch coordinator! Please contact one of the officers or office if interested.

NEW BUSINESS

1). Need sign up form for hot lunches for students. Attendance is very low.

2). We are losing money with hot lunches. Maybe only 30 students are eating hot lunches. If anyone has any budget friendly hot lunch ideas, please share!

3). Parents who NEED to be reimbursed for buying food for hot lunches or anything else, please turn in your requests within 30 days. We have had instances where they have been turned in many months later and it messes up our Parent Club funding.

4). We are losing money with Script. It costs us money every month to keep the Script account. If you are planning on buying gift cards for Christmas gifts, please purchase through Script. It really helps out our school.

5). We talked about the school ordering a bunch of Safeway gift cards through Script so they would be easily available for parents to buy at the office.

6). Milk and chocolate milk is served everyday for $.25. Punch cards will be available soon for milk.

7). Social Media Guidelines- Just a reminder to use Silverton Christian Parent Group on Facebook when posting pictures of the events with the kids. Please be mindful of who is in the picture. Needs to be in a closed group unless you have permission from a students parent to post on your wall. Please do not assume that it is ok with parent.

8). Parent Club will be sending Juli Baldwin every second Monday of the month to school board meetings and Jaime Hudson will represent the school board at our parent club meetings. If there is a teacher ever available to come to our parent club meetings, we would greatly appreciate their input with our agenda. Meetings are the 2nd Friday of each month at 8am.

9). Please be mindful of making copies at the office. We need to cut back on that expense.

10). We need to start selling 'Grace For The Moment' books that we have boxes of. They retail for $22 but we can sell for $15. Our school gets 100% profit from the sales of these so we really need to get them out there!

11). Michelle Rieskamp (our new Treasurer) and Jamie Reunion need to be added as signers on our account.

12). Shelley will be taking over soup labels. Please bring them in!

13). Please bring in box tops ALL year long. This small fundraiser really benefits our school.

14). There will be no Thanksgiving Feast this year.

15). Escript- Yes, we are still set up for Escript! This program gives a percentage to our school every time you buy something at one of the stores that you are registered with. Go to Escript.com to register. We will also have a booth at our Christmas Program to explain how to do this. This is a great way to help out our school!

16). Volunteering at The Oregon Garden during Christmas time can give us some money to our school. Part of the donations people give to pay to park will be given to our school, depending on how many people from our school volunteer. Volunteer gets free admission on next visit and gets Heart of Servant hours. They are 5 hour shifts. Please contact school if you are interested.
